Parti Québécois Projected to Win Quebec Election

The Canadian Press projects the separatist Parti Québécois won Quebec's Oct. 5, 2026 provincial election. Leader Paul St-Pierre Plamondon was set to become premier — Quebec's head of government. Élections Québec said early results would post gradually after 8 p.m. during the count. The National Assembly has 127 seats; 64 secures a majority.
