Parti Québécois Projected to Win Quebec Provincial Election

The Canadian Press projects the separatist Parti Québécois won Quebec's Oct. 5, 2026 provincial election. Leader Paul St-Pierre Plamondon was set to become premier. Élections Québec said preliminary results would appear progressively after 8 p.m. as ballots were counted. Quebec's National Assembly has 127 seats; 64 are needed for a majority.
