National promises $800m for Belfast to Pegasus motorway

National says it would pay the full $800 million cost of the Belfast to Pegasus Motorway and Woodend Bypass in its first Budget, if it leads the next government. Transport spokesperson Chris Bishop said building could start next year. The 11km road would run north from south of the Waimakariri River to past Pegasus.
