National promises $800m for Belfast to Pegasus motorway in first Budget

National says it will fully fund the $800 million Belfast to Pegasus Motorway and Woodend Bypass in its first Budget if it leads the next government. Transport spokesperson Chris Bishop said this would allow construction to begin next year. The 11km extension would run north from south of the Waimakariri River to beyond Pegasus.
