National promises $800m for Belfast to Pegasus road
National says it would pay the full $800 million for the Belfast to Pegasus Motorway and Woodend Bypass, if it leads the next government. The money would be in its first Budget, or spending plan. Transport spokesperson Chris Bishop said work could start next year. The 11km road would run north from south of the Waimakariri River to past Pegasus.
