Robodebt mum shut out of $475m payout on technicality

Kath Madgwick has been told by Commonwealth lawyers she misses out on the $475m robodebt settlement because her son Jarrad, 22, never got a formal debt notice. He took his own life in 2019 after MyGov flagged a $1,795.85 provisional debt. The royal commission said that contact helped trigger his death. Hard to justify that line.
