Gateshead sack Lee Cattermole after seventh straight defeat

Gateshead have sacked manager Lee Cattermole. The 2-1 home defeat by Worthing was a seventh straight loss in all competitions. Assistant Martin Smith also left. Cattermole joined in June and won one of 14 games. Gateshead sit bottom of the National League with four points from 12 games, BBC Sport reported.
