Conservatives Back Badenoch but Want Focus on Economy

Conservative MPs say they are united behind Kemi Badenoch heading into the 4-7 October Birmingham conference, but want less focus on culture wars — debates over values and identity — and more on the economy to regain centrist voters. She has led almost two years, the longest since Boris Johnson, following five leaders in eight years.
