Pike remains critical after two failed executions

Christa Gail Pike, 50, remained critically ill on a ventilator in a Nashville hospital Oct. 4, four days after surviving two lethal injections. Lawyer Stephen Ferrell said doctors were still clearing two pentobarbital doses, a sedative used in executions, and he did not believe she had regained consciousness. Her prognosis is unclear.
