Splice Buys Spitfire Audio

Splice has acquired Spitfire Audio, CEO Kakul Srivastava told The Verge in an interview published Oct. 3, 2026. Splice offers millions of royalty-free samples — short sounds cleared for reuse — through its test-version Sounds Plugin inside DAWs, the software musicians use to record. In this author's view, owning more of that supply chain strengthens Splice on licensing trust.
