Splice has bought Spitfire Audio, CEO Kakul Srivastava told The Verge in an interview published Oct. 3, 2026. Splice provides millions of ready-to-use sounds, like ingredients for songs, that need no extra payment, through a test tool that works inside music-making software. In this author's view, owning more of that supply strengthens Splice on trusted licensing.
