Israel Says 170 Dead Gaza Journalists Were Militants

Israel’s military released “The Press Files,” an online list claiming 170 Palestinians in Gaza counted as journalists were actually fighters in the armed wings of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Israel says it confirmed identities with the groups’ own records. The Committee to Protect Journalists issued its own review Sept. 24.
