Micron warns memory shortages will persist into 2028. CEO Sanjay Mehrotra said on its FY 2026 earnings call: "In calendar 2027 as well as 2028, we see demand exceeding supply." He said tightness will be greater than in 2026, with no line of sight to balance. New factories are planned for 2028 but will not quickly ease supply.
