Labour promises to limit farmland turning into pine forests

Labour would bring in rules to limit farms being turned into pine forests, agriculture spokesperson Jo Luxton told about 350 farmers at a debate at Mystery Creek near Hamilton on Wednesday. She said Labour would urgently review the carbon-credit system, which rewards planting pines to offset pollution, RNZ reported.
