
Coalition blames Houthis for drone hit on Medina power station
Saudi-led coalition said Oct. 1 that Yemen's Houthis launched a Tuesday drone strike on a Medina power station serving the Prophet's Mosque, knocking out one transformer but leaving power supply intact. It pointed to drone debris as evidence. The Houthis denied responsibility. Because Medina is holy to Muslims, the strike risks wider diplomatic fallout and tougher retaliation.
