Xbox paying far less than US$400 million for PHYSINT, Dring says

Xbox is paying "far, far less" than US$400 million to publish Hideo Kojima's PHYSINT, according to Chris Dring of The Game Business writing on 1 October 2026, possibly below US$200 million. Dring said his earlier US$400 million mention was rumour from Tokyo Game Show chatter. Xbox announced it would publish PHYSINT on 9 September 2026. No budget confirmed.
