10-Year Treasury Hits 19-Year High; 30-Year at 5.594%
The 10-year Treasury hit another 19-year high on Sept. 29, with the 30-year yield rising to 5.594%, the WSJ reported. Yield here means the government's borrowing cost, which also anchors mortgage rates. If it holds, I expect higher rates on consumer and business loans.
