10-year Treasury hits 19-year high; 30-year yield at 5.594%

Benchmark 10-year Treasury notes hit another 19-year high on Sept. 29, with the 30-year yield rising to 5.594%, WSJ reported. The yield is the government's borrowing cost and anchor for mortgages. I'd expect higher consumer and business loan rates if it holds.
