DoorDash brings AI food ordering to Apple Messages

DoorDash said September 30, 2026 it has built an AI text-to-order assistant — software that acts on typed requests — inside Apple Messages. It can place food orders without opening the DoorDash app, understand requests such as 'order my usual,' suggest carts from nearby restaurants with photos, and offer recommendations. A U.S. waitlist is open.
