Kent Monkman unveils first public sculpture in Toronto's Port Lands

Cree artist Kent Monkman unveiled The Colony (2026), his first public sculpture, on September 30, 2026 at Biidaasige Park in Toronto's Port Lands, according to The Art Newspaper. The bronze and steel work is a permanent commission for the Lassonde Art Trail on Toronto's revitalised waterfront.
