Tulane students propose sustainable settlements for Chile's Atacama Desert

Graduate studios at the Tulane School of Architecture and Built Environment in New Orleans proposed sustainable urban settlements for Chile's Atacama Desert, Dezeen School Shows reported on 30 September 2026. Students visited Chile, according to Tulane, which says the desert supports nearly one million people and copper and lithium mining.
