Replit Moves Its Coding Agent From Temporal to Restate

Replit has switched its AI coding agent from Temporal to Restate. Restate records every model request, tool use, and routing choice, so agents can survive crashes and resume on their own. It also allows updates to long-running agents through fixed software versions that keep existing runs stable. Restate, based in Berlin, was co-founded in 2022 by Stephen Ewen.
