U.S. border turns back sealed N.B. liquor truck for Campobello

U.S. customs officers at St. Stephen-Calais turned back a sealed New Brunswick truck carrying liquor to Campobello Island through Maine. They enforced Washington's ban on importing Canadian alcohol, even though the load was sealed — locked for transit — and not meant for sale in the U.S. The 75-kilometre Maine road is the island's only road link to Canada.
