Kelly Clarkson said she learned her divorce from Brandon Blackstock was finalised 30 minutes before singing "I Will Always Love You" for Dolly Parton at the 2022 ACM Awards. Speaking on the Las Culturistas podcast, reported by Billboard, Clarkson said she told Parton backstage before performing while Parton watched from the side of the stage.
