Liquor truck for Campobello Island turned back at U.S. border

American border officers in St. Stephen-Calais sent back a New Brunswick truck carrying liquor to Campobello Island. The truck was sealed, like a locked parcel just passing through Maine, not stopping to sell. Officers still applied the U.S. ban on Canadian alcohol. The 75-kilometre drive through Maine is the island's only road to Canada.
