Nas to Write New Material for Broadway-Bound Beat Street Musical

Producers announced Sept. 29 that Nas will create new material for the Broadway-bound Beat Street musical, expanding songs from the 1984 film. The rapper, also a producer on the show, developed the adaptation in a 29-hour workshop with the creative team, Deadline reported.
