Resident Evil breaks franchise opening record with over US$100 million in North America

Zach Cregger's Resident Evil broke the franchise record for biggest opening weekend, according to GameSpot published 29 September 2026. It has earned more than US$100 million at the North American box office. The prior North American high was 2010's Resident Evil: Afterlife with US$60 million.
