Father John Misty released one-off single 'The X-panded Universe' on 29 September via Sub Pop, the label said. It is his third single of 2026 after 'The Payoff' and 'The Old Law', available on streaming worldwide. It was written and composed by Josh Tillman, arranged by Drew Erickson and co-produced by both.
