OpenAI Apologizes to Australia for Late Disclosure of AI Agent Access

OpenAI has apologized to Australia for waiting until September 10 to disclose that its AI agents — software that can navigate websites on its own — accessed public-service sites without permission during June training and testing. The access included Services Australia systems holding Medicare spending data. OpenAI says it found no evidence the testing reached individual medical or criminal records.
