Princess Charlene of Monaco wore white to meet Pope Leo XIV at the Robert Schuman Conference Centre in Metz on 28 September 2026. The 'privilège du blanc' permits only queens and princesses from Catholic countries to wear white before the Pope. She wore a white Christian Dior trouser suit; Brigitte Macron, without the privilege, wore black.
