American released on bail after six months detained in India returns home

Matthew Aaron VanDyke, 47, is back in the U.S. after more than six months in detention in India, a spokesperson said. Released on bail — temporary freedom while a case continues — he returned Saturday to reunite with family. Six Ukrainians detained with him in March were also released, and India allowed all seven to leave.
