WRU plans to cut Welsh regions to three, leaving Scarlets and Ospreys fighting for one spot

The Welsh Rugby Union plans to cut its four professional men's sides — the regional teams below the national side — to three. Cardiff and the Dragons are safe, leaving west Wales rivals Scarlets and Ospreys to fight for one place, The Guardian reported. The WRU says no change will happen until 2028.
