CBP to Use Google AI to Recommend FOIA Redactions

U.S. Customs and Border Protection will use Google AI tools to recommend redactions in Freedom of Information Act responses. DHS says officers will review recommendations to ensure requesters receive "accurate and complete" information. The agency expects automation to significantly reduce FOIA processing times.
