Musixmatch announces Sentinel to detect lyric copying by AI tools

Musixmatch has announced Sentinel, a real-time copyright detection service for user-generated content platforms. It spots when AI tools reproduce protected lyrics without permission, the company confirmed. Musixmatch supplies synced lyrics for Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music and Instagram and works with almost 250,000 rightsholders, who control lyrics and collect payment.
