House Spending Chiefs Say White House Must Pull Taxpayer-Funded Trump Ad

Top House spending leaders on Sept. 25 told the White House to immediately remove a taxpayer-paid ad promoting President Donald Trump. The lawmakers said the ad breaks Section 718 of Division E of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2026, which bars such promotion, according to a statement from House Appropriations Democrats.
