Five detained over suspected terror plot near RAF Fairford

Five men are in custody over suspected preparation of a terrorist act after an overnight armed police operation near RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire. They were first arrested in Whelford on suspected explosives offences after reports of suspicious vehicles heading toward the base, which hosts US Air Force operations. Counter Terrorism Policing now leads the investigation.
