Five men arrested near air base over suspected attack plan

Five men are being held by police over a suspected plan for a terrorist attack after armed officers stopped them overnight near RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire. Officers first arrested them in Whelford over possible explosives crimes after suspicious vehicles were reported heading to the base, used by the US Air Force. The national Counter Terrorism Policing team leads the case.
