York Valkyrie beat Wigan 8-6 to become first three-time Women's Super League champions

York Valkyrie beat Wigan Warriors 8-6 in the Women's Super League Grand Final at the Brick Community Stadium on 27 September to become the first three-time champions. York, winners in 2023 and 2024, led 8-6 at half-time through Sinead Peach's try and two Ellie Williamson goals. The second half was scoreless, BBC Sport reports.
