17 Killed in Wedela Bar Shooting Near Johannesburg

Seventeen people were killed and at least 15 wounded when eight suspects with AK-47 rifles — rapid-fire military weapons — and pistols opened fire at a bar in Wedela township, southwest of Johannesburg, on Saturday night, police said. No arrests have been made. Police in Gauteng, the province around Johannesburg, have launched a manhunt.
