Northeast Nor'easter Cuts Power to Over 88,000
More than 88,000 homes and businesses in the Northeast were without power Saturday afternoon, Sept. 26, 2026, down from 119,000 earlier. The nor'easter — a coastal storm with strong northeasterly winds — flooded low-lying areas and New Jersey roads. Forecasters say high winds, high tides and heavy rain will continue for days, keeping outage and flood risks high.
