Apple Ordered to Pay $5.7 Billion in Taptic Engine Patent Case

A federal jury in San Diego ruled Apple's Taptic Engine in iPhones and Apple Watches infringed three claims in Taction patents 10,659,885 and 10,820,117, which cover tactile transducers that produce low-frequency vibrations, and awarded over $5.7 billion. The jury did not find the infringement willful.
