Castleford captain Alex Mellor agrees two-year Catalans deal from 2027

Castleford Tigers captain Alex Mellor has agreed a two-year deal with Catalans Dragons from 2027, BBC Sport reported on 26 September 2026. The 31-year-old second-row forward has made more than 100 Super League appearances across four-and-a-half seasons at Castleford. He played 23 times as the Tigers finished 13th.
