Bolton wins Norm Smith Medal in Fremantle's Grand Final loss

Brisbane beat Fremantle 14.12 (96) to 12.17 (89) by seven points in the September 26 Grand Final at the MCG, but Fremantle's Shai Bolton won the Norm Smith Medal. Bolton polled 10 votes with 26 disposals. He is the first player in 21 years to win it in defeat, after Chris Judd in 2005.
