World No 1 Sinner out of China Open, will not defend title

World No 1 Jannik Sinner has withdrawn from the China Open and will not defend his Beijing title. He announced on 25 September in a video on X that his right knee is not where he would like it to be and he is not ready to compete yet. The Beijing event starts Wednesday and ends 6 October.
