Global Citizen Festival in Central Park cancelled over extreme weather forecast

Organisers cancelled the Global Citizen Festival due on 26 September on Central Park's Great Lawn over forecast extreme weather. The decision, announced 25 September in consultation with the City of New York and NYC Parks, is the first cancellation in 14 years, organisers said. The bill included Ms Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean, Lenny Kravitz and Alicia Keys.
