Halima wins Best Fiction prize at Finnish Film Affair

Halima, directed by Naima Mohamud, won the Best Fiction prize at Finnish Film Affair in Helsinki, Variety reported on Sept. 25. The film follows a 10-year-old Somali girl fitting into Finland in 1998 and is described as the first Finnish feature directed by a Black woman, Variety reported.
