One in five Commons words had AI help

One in five words spoken by MPs in the House of Commons over the past year were drafted with help from artificial intelligence. The Sept. 25, 2026 analysis by The Economist, using Pangram software that spots AI writing, covered speeches, questions, replies and other remarks since September 2025.
