Milwaukee Art Museum transfers two David Drake jars to heirs

Milwaukee Art Museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has transferred ownership of two stoneware jars by enslaved potter David Drake to his heirs, the New York Times reported. Restitution, the formal return of ownership, was arranged with the Dave the Potter Legacy Trust, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported. The Times said both jars stay on display.
