Senate Rejects Plan to Pull U.S. Forces From Iran Fight, 49-50

The Republican-led Senate voted down a plan to pull U.S. forces from fighting with Iran on Sept. 24, 2026, 49 to 50. Four Republicans voted for it, while Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania was the only Democrat against it. The House passed the plan in July, 214 to 208.
