Google to Launch First Suncatcher AI Test Satellite Oct. 1

Google will launch MVP, its first Project Suncatcher test satellite, on a SpaceX Falcon 9 on October 1 into low-Earth orbit. For one year it will handle simple queries while measuring power, heat control and radiation effects. The aim is to prove AI processing in orbit works before building a larger solar-powered fleet.
